Hostinger Real Cost: What Will You Actually Pay?

Hostinger's headline hosting price is designed around a long promotional term. The real cost becomes clearer when you look at the upfront commitment, renewal price and what happens after the promotional period.

6.2/10 Hostinger Real Cost Score™
Very competitive entry pricing, but the lowest advertised rate requires a long upfront commitment and renewal costs are materially higher.

Pricing and research checked: September 15, 2026. USD figures below are based on Hostinger's current US pricing pages. Taxes and optional services are excluded.

The price you see vs. the price you commit to

Single
$1.99/month
48-month promotional rate; renews at $8.99/month.
Premium
$2.99/month
48-month promotional rate; renews at $10.99/month.
Business
$3.99/month
48-month promotional rate; renews at $16.99/month.

These monthly figures are calculated from a 48-month plan that is paid upfront. The advertised monthly number is therefore not the amount charged each month.

The upfront commitment

Plan 48-month total Renewal
Single $95.52 $8.99/month
Premium $143.52 $10.99/month
Business $191.52 $16.99/month

Current USD promotional pricing checked September 15, 2026. Hostinger states that longer plans are paid upfront and the displayed monthly price is the total plan price divided by the number of months.

What changes after the promotion?

The most important real-cost issue is the gap between the introductory rate and the renewal rate. For example, Premium moves from an effective $2.99/month during the 48-month promotional term to $10.99/month at renewal. That is more than three times the introductory monthly figure.

This does not make Hostinger unusually expensive for hosting, but it does mean that comparing only the first-year or headline monthly price can give the wrong impression of long-term cost.

Who should consider Hostinger?

Hostinger is particularly attractive for people who want a low initial hosting cost and are comfortable paying for a longer term upfront. It becomes less attractive if you want the lowest possible commitment, expect to move hosts quickly, or compare providers using only the promotional monthly number.

How we score providers

The Real Cost Score™ uses five equally weighted criteria: starting price, growth cost, hidden extras, cost transparency and ease of exit. Every provider is assessed using the same framework.
